AC/DC – Hells Bells Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Yeah I guess most of that album was commemorating the death of Bon Scott. Especially the title song "Back in Black", because the band came "back" after his death. |
U2 – Miracle Drug Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"Love and logic keep us clear; Reason is on our side" These really keep you "clear". Things like politics and petty disagreements go out the window when you are reasonable, logical and are motivated by love. |

Better than the English version? I disagree, this barely makes sense. It sounds like you ran it thru a translation web site. It might be the literal translation, but I like the English version a LOT better. |
Men at Work – It's A Mistake Lyrics | 15 years ago |
No, it isn't about Vietnam (although it is about war). PaliSteve is right, it's about nuclear war. This was written during a long cold war where everyone was afraid someone would accidently "press the button" and trigger "mutually assured destruction". It was during the time of the movie 'War Games'. I imagine even Austrailians were worried about it. Jump down the [fallout] shelters... No surface noise now [everything is dead]... we know that you love all that power... It's a mistake [oops I thought you attacked so I pressed the button]... It all refers to nuclear holocaust. |

Van Halen – Amsterdam Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"a little thick in the bottom but still lookin' alright" IS about a woman - a prostitute in a window of the red light district, "looking good through the window ". And she is getting a big butt, but hey, Sammy would still do her. Remember, prostitution is also legal in Amsterdam. This is about walking around Amsterdam, looking at, or maybe using the services of, prostitutes. and smoking weed. But mostly about smoking weed. |
