when I saw Hinder last year, they performed two songs off their new album, which is coming out on November 4th. this one in particular stuck out to me. yes, it was over a year ago and i still remember that this is the song. it's brilliant and i can't wait til i can actually own it along with all the others. |

The first time I heard this, I thought it was the one about Gerard Way, but Bert has said that Pretty Handsome Awkward is about him - well he never actually said that but he hinted at it, and so I doubt that Liar Liar is about him too.
To me, this sing is like a message to the people who shove religion in peoples' faces - I'm not going to bash Christianity here, I'm just saying that's what the song is to me. |

That was to the people who think this song is sad.
I don't believe in god and I can tell you I do go through hard times but it has NOTHING to do with the lack of religion, as I'm sure you Christians don't havge perfect lives either.
And the most important thing people need to remember is that this song was originally done by XTC, so whether or not Sarah really does believe in god or not isn't the issue.

I honestly don't understand why it matters that someone defended CMWYS when posting about this song. You can state your opinions, no matter if they're negative or positive.
I think Amy had a right to do what she did, and so did Shaun. Maybe Amy DID try to help him and it was just too much for her - it's their business, and none of us know the full story, so we can't really judge.
But going back to the topic here, I really love this song. It's currently my favorite Seether song and my favorite song in general. The subject of it is obvious. I can relate to it right now snce one of my friendships has recently gone bad and I feel that my ex-friend is doing anything he can to break me down. |
