This song is actually the last song on "The West is The Future" and it is less about heroin and more about the movie, 2001 A Space Odyssey. The song was originally titled: 2001: An Alternate Ending. The song describes what might have happened to the astronaut had hal prohibited his reentry into the ship. It is narrated from the astronaut's perspective. |

I wrote this while I was at the state hospital in Wilmar, Minnesota. Good times. If tapeworm is really slang for heroin habit then this is news to me. I think it should be but to my knowledge it isn't. |
