To me, this song is about someone who pushes people away, who shuts people out. She's terrified of anyone seeing her true colors. But, she makes a promise to herself that she will eventually unfold and let pepole into her world... I can really relate to this song -- I know someone who's gone through this very struggle -- letting anyone get close enough to for love. Thankfully she overcame that struggle. Marie, I hope you can someday as well... |

Marie Digby is going to be one of the hottest new artists this year. She's got it all -- an amazing angelical voice, she's talented at the piano and guitar, and able to write profoundly meaningful lyrics. When I heard Say it Again for the first time I fell in love with her. :) This song is about someone who is awestruck at the notion of this person falling in love with her.. She can hardly believe it that it's true or that she could be this happy. Almost as if to say, "pinch me! I need to make sure I'm not dreaming!" A slight correction to the first verse: "thing about love, is i never saw it coming it kinda crept up and took me by surprise" |
