| I always thought it "about the moment you lost your love". And also, i thought it was "to not make a sound". The song, to me, is about being in a relationship with someone you love dearly and or a dysfunctional relationship with someone and, everyone betting against it. And once you fuck up and the relationship's over you're trying to hurry up and put a hush on it because you don't wanna hear i told you so's. While you're keepin this on the hush you're wondering about all the things you've done wrong and you want to fix it but everyone, sayin it's over and to just leave it all alone. And you're in such shock that you're wondering should you cry because this seems so sudden, just accept it because shit happens or be happy because the other person is with someone else now. Knock once for the father (George Bush, republican) Twice for the son (George W. MadHatterMassacre i thought the same thing about Peaking, as if it were a reference to a woman's prime. But since we're talkin about fame and money, why couldn't the peaking be record sales? They peaked early and have kind of mellowed, and disappeared but sometimes sneak in and lay low like you would in an affair. Think about the song with the music industry in mind. Idk. Just thinkin. Also, a tempest is a horrible storm usually includin snow or ice. Maybe there were threats involved... A storm is seen as a bad thing in somethin as small and harmless as a teacup... I don't know why, but i keep thinkin They're sayin "sniffin MODEL glue again..." idk. I also agree with sickle2 when talkin about the crickets and conscience... I just thought about that...
