Lifehouse – Take Me Away Lyrics 17 years ago
You guys who say this isn't a spiritual song are right. Jason Wade is wrong. He doesn't know what he wrote the song about:

"This is a spiritual song I wrote after September 11th. It's a love song. It's about wanting to escape from the condition of the world right now." - Jason Wade

He doesn't know what he wrote the song about, though. It's definitely not about God. As Wade has said before, people can interpret their songs multiple ways and that is fine by him. But to say the song isn't about God when the writer of the song says it is is pretty ignorant and arrogant.

Lifehouse – Breathing Lyrics 17 years ago
to add to the previous post, ecclesiastes 5 speaks of guarding your steps when you near the house of god and going to listen and learn from god.

"i want nothing more than to sit outside your door and listen to you breathing..." later on, it says "sit outside HEAVENS door"

i think this is a pretty clear reference as well.

Lifehouse – Only One Lyrics 17 years ago
i find it hilarious that someone used this jason wade quote to say this song is not a religious song:

"I wrote "Only One" right after someone in my life did something I felt was totally wrong. It was a really tough time for me. I have these trails in my life, like my dad leaving and my not being with him anymore, and then this man, who I really looked up to, failing. "Only One" is about how sometimes people are just not there for you and you have to look somewhere else for guidance."

if anything, this quote makes it blatantly obvious that the song IS about god. what jason is saying is no matter what, people will change, people will let you down. god is the only one that never changes, the only one that will never change faces. hebrews 6:17-18 emphasises the unchangeable nature of god.
