Brand New – Fork and Knife Lyrics 16 years ago
i think this song is about a drama queen. a girl that thrives on chaos to fuel relationships. this girl must have drama or she will be bored and the guy is done with it. there are numerous lines from the song to support this. "leaving you to nurse your cherished wounds" that is saying she will try and get sympathy from other people after he ends it. also the part about the wolf, could refer to the next guy she dates being a player or something. "He will your young and you will act surprised" the keyword there is act. it implies that is exactly what she wants and she knew it was going to happen. in addition, the line you can't hold on to the thrill, could mean that even she couldn't handle the trouble she starts. i prolly didn't explain myself well enough, but if you listen to the song it will make sense.

Taking Back Sunday – Great Romances of the 20th Century Lyrics 16 years ago
this is by far my favorite tbs song and one of my favorite songs of all time. my favorite line of the song, which i quote quite frequently in relation to relationships "if its not keeping you up nights, then what's the point?"

Counting Crows – Goodtime Lyrics 16 years ago
I read an interview the other day where Adam said all his lyrics were autobiographical. Then I was listening to this song and something about the ending struck me as odd. When he says he loves those redhaired girls and he's just another boy from Texas. Well Adam isn't from Texas, so i thought it my just be artistic expression. Then i remembered that in the movie Dazed and Confused Matthew McConaughey's character Wooderson says "I just love those redheads!". Thats where i remembered the line from. Also the movie is based in Texas. That line could be a shout-out to that movie or it could just be a coincidence.
