Get off your fucking high horse. You seem to have some long term memory loss. Let's take a trip back in time shall we? The sixties and seventies are a minefield of 'what the fuck' songs. Ya know, because all the fricken drugs they were on? And don't even get me started on the crazy shit that came out of the eighties. Elvis Presley sang about a party in a county jail. The Beatles sang about a fucking walrus (and don't delude yourself into thinking it's a metaphor for something. They were high as shit). The Beach Boys sang both Dance, Dance, Dance and Fun, Fun, Fun so don't tell me their lyrics weren't childish. Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones certainly didn't have the most sophisticated lyrics. And Queen sang about fat bottomed girls and riding a bicycle. What's wrong with the youth today is the same thing that's been wrong with youth for generations and generations. Don't act like we are the lost generation. There are stupid people at every age. But if you'd like to keep pretending to be superior than you can keep patting people who think the exact same way as you on the back. I know opposing opinions can be scary and expanding your perspective is hard. I don't want you to strain yourself.

I remember way back before this album came out her twitter said she was writing a song about someone in hollywood... and she gave a clue that said "he's orange" hahaha, so could be but it being Taylor L just seems too obvious to me. Maybe that's the point.

It made me cry the first 6 times I listened to it. Now I just get teary eyed. My mom is my very best friend. We got the Gilmore Girl thing goin' on. Even though I'm older than 13 I don't know how my friends could be such... um witches. So basically I love this song. I cry... and It's amazing. My favorite song on this album. I'm going to sing it to my mom when I graduate high school. It makes me cry because I don't ever want to move away from home and be away from her. I know that sounds babyish but she and I are so close that it scares me to think of leaving home.

Jonas Brothers – Can't Have You Lyrics

"I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I don't know if I'll get up" This line is the only reason I like the JOnas Brothers.. okay, not really. But this is the line that made me start liking them. When Year 3000 came out I instantly hated them and refused to like them until I heard that line... it's so powerful. It gives me shivers down my spine... I can't describe what that line means to me. So powerful. I hated them and then I started listening to their music and it grew on me. I don't hate the JOnas Brothers anymore, I hate the obsession around them. I have three friends who insist that one day they will be Mrs. Nicholas Jerry Jonas. I hate the obessesed fangirls. I hate the people who use their full names like just knowing what their full name is means you know them better than you really do. But whatever, I guess hate is a strong word. :D

Mother, don't tell me friends are the ones that I lose cause they'd bleed before you Sometimes family are the ones you choose It's too late now, I hold on to this life I've found This is my favorite verse. The way I see this verse is that her mother says that friends move on but family is here to stay. But Vanessa *or speaker of song* says that her friends love her so much more (they'd bleed before you) and are such a huge part of her life. But... then the part about family being the ones you choose confuses me.... so maybe my explanation isn't right but... that's just my interpretation and how I feel about it.

This is my best friend and my song! The way it fits into our relationship works pretty decently. He is my very best buddy. When we were younger we went our different ways because of many different reasons. After 2 years we were ready to be friends again. We admitted to our mistakes and we grew up a lot. We had changed and become better people and we were ready to give each other another chance. I will always stand up for him even when I know he's wrong. He's always there when I need him. All the metaphors in this song mean to me our uniqueness. If I may say so myself, I'm pretty out-there. And so is he. He is different from any other guy I've ever met. We are both out of this world and I don't know what I'd do without him! He's back in my life! :) I love him. I don't even know why this is our song. I'm sure he didn't even see the connection between the lyrics and our past... we were just listening and i was having a airhead moment and forgot what song it was. he said "You don't know this song? How can you not know this song? It's like our song" so... I guess. :D And it was lonely looking for myself out there... (those lyrics aren't included for some reason... it's in the middle of the NaNas) I was really lonely before he came back into my life.

It is "my lover or friend" The lyrics are correct. I have the CD and the inside cover thing has the lyrics. She is saying that it doesn't matter if they are friends or lovers, because she won't tell the secrets.
