To start this off, I am a Christian, HOWEVER I am not judgemental of other people, and do not hate based on what people believe. I definately believe in free speech, free though, free religion, and all that. I think this has to do with being more Anti-Religion than Anti-Christian, which sometimes overlaps... Jesusland would represent the church, or religion, and people trapping them in... I agree with the Gahndi quote, I believe in Christ, but I do not believe in what religious bigots who call themselves "Christians" are doing to other people they don't agree with. |

Anyways, I really don't see this as him comparing himself to Jesus, unless you think of it that way by him being a leader for the damned and forgotten. I think that the line "Working Class Hero is something to be." is sincere. Think of it as John saying that he is the hero of the working class. The one who had the balls to say something against the government and speak out against Capitalism. Billie Joe Armstrong in the live video of this song, Bullet in a Bible DVD, says, "And this next song is a big FUCK YOU to all the politicians. This song is HOLIDAY!" Then after they play the first few chords, "This song is not anti-American. Its anti-WAR!" That kinda clears the whole, "This song is so anti-American" thing up. Also, I know they hate Bush. American Idiot (song) is a Bush bashing song. I don't think this one is. they say FU to ALL the politicians. Not just Bush. They're anarchists. Anti-government. I don't think that it is refering to the song. But he is proud to be an American. So the quotes should come off, but its also saying the guy singing is proud to be an American. Okay here we go... Number 1: If she writes her own lyrics (which I HIGHLY doubt she does) she freakin' stole the tune from Corey Hart. Number 2: "She wrote every song on the Miley Cyrus side except for 3." You can't really say that if you have to take 3 away. Maybe 1 or even 2. Not 3. I checked. The CD has 20 songs. She wrote 7. 7/20. 35% of her FREAKIN' MUSIC!!! Number 3: My best bet is that she'll end up like Britney or Paris. Number 4: Her voice is like a guys. Number 5: With all of the money Disney put into her and her semi-famous father, ANYONE could become famous. I've heard PLENTY of Indie/unsigned bands with music 20 times better.
