| I'll set the record straight on this one.. It is all about the General Lee, the car. I was asked to write it for the Dukes album. I was told to write it from the car's perspective for Johnny Cash to sing as HE would be the General Lee. It was a thrill hearing my lyrics and melody come from that iconic voice. | |
