That's great, I agree with you guys. I was logging into to contemplate exactly what JGivs just said. I like the idea of the deeper meaning about the band itself still being here, but on the surface, it seems like they're talking about someone who talks about someone they think is better than themselves. |

I completely agree with nikham3. I wanted to see what others thought, but I can't see the song being about anything else but God. Yes, it could represent a human relationship but all signs point to God, so that's my opinion. I love how they're saying that we're all human, just like All Fall Down. Just when you think that there's no way out of whatever you got yourself into, God reaches down and puts you back on your feet. |

I agree with TBFGhost about the breakup. I feel like it's goodbye for now but we'll be together again soon. He knows he's messed up plenty of times but he's telling this person that they are right for each other. They just need time, whether it's apart or just time to think things over. Also, the myspace lyrics are from the album, which would only make sense.
The song was crafted beautifully, and my favorite part is the ending when he's just "whooing" the whole time lol. |

I like your ideas, because it's the complete opposite of what I was thinking. What I got from the song was that he's in love with someone but things aren't going well. It becomes routine and the same thing everyday, so he has no more feeling [apathy]. He's doing all he can to make this person happy and they don't appreciate it. When they walk away, he feels empty. The relationship sounds unhealthy from my point of view. |

I absolutely positively love this song. Because of this song and 'Apologize' I bought the CD via iTunes. I agree with PyarForever about the powerful message. My favorite thing about the thing is actually the string piece in the middle, when the violins come in together in harmony. (I'm only guessing violins; I played clarinet in high school, not strings lol).
But all in all, it's such a great song, it makes you realize that no one on this planet is perfect, so don't give up. |
