None of my friends believed me when I told them there was an electronic track on the album. NONE OF THEM! Even when I played it (as I got my copy early last week for some reason... Not that I minded one bit!) they swore blind it wasn't Regine and Arcade Fire wouldn't turn electronic Now they all love it! And quite rightly so! One of the best songs I have heard in a long time! |

Obviously related to 1984 (as are all the songs in the album...) but is a fantastic song in it's own right. And if you don't pick up on the 1984 references throughout the album, I suggest you should read it again... It makes it a lot more enjoyable |

depends where you come from. In the UK, Talons was included on the standard release. Letter to my son and this one were on the limited edition. Flux was released with extra b-sides over here as a single. Don't know if it was in America so it charted on downloads before the physical release due to our stupid chart rules which meant it couldn't be included on the album |

Since this song has been getting a lot of airplay recently on the radio, it has grown on me. It was the one song on the album I just didn't like. It's obvious that the protagonsits partner is cheating but the song is basically what goes through your mind when you find out. One of my ex's did the dirty on me and I went through all these thoughts... Anger, hate and revenge. All of these are mentioned in this song. Eventually, he decides what to do "I can be a cruel as you/fighting firwe with firewood". Basically he is going to do the same back. Love the song and love the meaning. Sounds fantastic in the car as well! As do all Bloc Party songs |

Just really hits home with me that no matter what goes on in a relationship, it's what the two of you do that matters. Not what people think about it |

Two things... 1) It's "Silent like velvet". Just doesn't have an comma in it. 2) It definately 100% is "I want you to become". Listen very closely to it. These are both on the insert on the CD before you ask. I think though that everyone who has posted about this song is correct in what they are saying. It's obviously about a girl (could be a boy) being frigid around who he/she is with but behond they're back, they are just sleeping around, spreading diseases etc etc |

This song is possibly one of the catchiest songs BP have done besides helicopter. It has a bit of everything chucked in an to add to it, one hell of a good riff. One of those songs you can play alongside CSS and Shitdisco at a miniature rave. Pure quality. What I think this song is about is an ex who was frigid and then all of a sudden turns into a whore. |

This song really hits home to me at the moment. The way I see it, is when you are younger, you have all these dreams and aspirations but when you grow up, none actually happen. | I first heard this song last christmas. Me and my partner were going through a very sticky spell. Everything we did we argued. I had my ipod on to fall to sleep with like normal and I woke up and this song was on. It had just started. It was chilling. I was wondering what we had become. As i see this song, she loves him but he doesn't love her. take a look at the lyrics and notice which parts of the song are sung by the lass and which ones are sung by the fella.
