I will dare to sound whiney by saying that this song sounds like my life. Basically I see it as a guy who is isolated from society. He tries to do what society wants, he always does the right thing. He feels so isolated that he feels that he cannot reconnect with society. The society wants him to change to be something that he can never be to fit in. He finally resolves to be left alone and to be himself. |

For some reason I took this song to be about the death of God. The beastly voice is for this idea, obviously. He sees the idea of God as a weed. Liv Kristine sees that God offers mercy, absolute truth, and forgiveness from mistakes. The third singer is also happy for the death of God. He was once blindfolded by the idea. He mentions a philosopher: Nietzsche. A great song! |
