i like to think of this song as describing Satan's life(1-3), rebellion(4-6), and banishment(7) from heaven to earth. the final part means that he is finally free from gods rules and can now do as he pleases, although he can still see the home he left when he looks up at the sky at night. the only part that doesn't fit is the part about prophets crying, seeing as Lucifer was cast out of heaven before Adam and eve had even left the garden. |
