this line pretty sums up the song for me. Its about always getting life's raw end of the deal and hitting rock bottom. Once you hit that point where life can't get any worse, sudden realization comes that hey, im be alright if I survived this far.

i pretty much agree with dread44...the killer thinks they "persecuted a hero" because he took out a rapist off the streets. he feels guilty for killing the rapist but it was beautiful to him because justice was served and he was able to avenged his little brother...that is why he has little remorse... |
