| Underoath – The Impact of Reason Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think the song title itself kind of points out the meaning to me. The Impact Of Reason, "Reason" would be what you realize when something is wrong? Kind of reasoning with yourself. It's hard for me to explain. But, Underoath being Christians, I like to think that they write a lot of the lyrics with Christian aspects put into them. This being said, I think this song has to do with a guy and a girl that he wants to have sex with. He realizes that what he's doing, maybe him not being married and wanting to have sex, is wrong. And near the end of the song, instead of just having sex he sparks up a conversation and it breaks the awkwardness, or "ice" and they go about their relationship, or hookup just talking and deciding against it. |

Well if you say that it is about Iraq I don't believe that. And just to clear things up, George Bush isn't doing it for his happiness, you're quite the idiot to believe that. We went to kill Sadam and his sons, which has been done, now we're trying to restore peace and get a govt. back on track so that no one like Sadam goes crazy and takes away the oil we get from there. But, the transition from prelude to this song kind of makes me think it's about the african americans, because in prelude it sounds like a voice such as Martin Luther Kings speaking out. Then the whole I'm telling you friend this is something worth fighting for. Does it not seem contradicting to sit back and watch them take more? Caught like a deer in there headlights your stuck now. You're bound by your fears I suggest you break free or you'll forever be damned here" Would be one african american speaking to another, to protest and make sure they fight for freedom. |

I think it IS about bad luck. I mean..black cat, 13 on my forehead..it's all pretty evident. As far as Schuylar saying it's about magic, well I'd love to believe him since he wrote it, but he also does massive amounts of weed and was probably just saying it to say it. |
