Avenged Sevenfold – Danger Line Lyrics 14 years ago
@ oXguitarchickXo

Are you obsessed with suicide or something? The song is obviously about soldiers and war.

With colors never faded
Reckless and unabated
They may take me but never take us all

With colors either refers to the flag or the always clean appearance of the military uniform

Unabated means without any reduction in intesity or strength. Since when do strong people commit suicide?

They may take us.......that is the biggest giveaway. They being the enemy.

Also suicide is a mortal sin so it would be foolish to kill youself, abandoning your wife and daughter and expect God to leave the light on for you.

People can interpret songs many ways and that is what makes it great, but what you are doing is projecting into the song. This song is obviously about war and soldiers.

Maybe you should get some counseling to deal with either the grief you are feeling about someone's suicide, or perhaps about the one you might be contemplating.

Toadies – Hell Below/Stars Above Lyrics 17 years ago
Wow, most of you all missed the whole theme of this one.

The first part of the song, is the "Hell Below"

It is the pain he feels seeing his girl with another guy. Note the angst and fast paced anger of the first part.

Then, the second part of the song is the "Stars Above" portion. He is saying, now that he has gotten over her, there isnt anything else that is gonna hurt him in this life. He really is over here. "I close my eyes, and I can't see your face...." and "I slip away, happy as a clam"

Its about the initial pain and the following relief you get from ending a shitty relationship.
