| Rise Against – Re-Education (Through Labor) Lyrics

It's definitely about communism, but im not sure where.
Lines like "chased down like dogs we run from, your graps" and "we crawl on our knees for you... we sweat all day long for you.... we sow seeds for you.... sometimes dreams just don't come true" all give away that its about "the man" controlling people inferior to him.
I would guess its about china, and their sweat shops. |

David said in an interview that this song is about the devil sitting over his shoulder telling him to kill himself after he saw his girlfriend kill herself so they can be together again. The devil is trying to tempt David to also kill himself so he can "take his place inside the fire" with Devon. |

| Three Days Grace – The Drugs Don't Work Lyrics

I think the song meaning is pretty obvious: the drugs won't work. It seems that the narrator got out of a relationship he didn't want to get out of, so he is on drugs, but they won't work. Then he keeps encouraging himself that "he'll see your face again", so he knows that he will see the person he lost again. The narrator is obviously suffering serious depression if he is on drugs, because of the relationship, so he just keeps using them as a replacement of the person he lost until he sees that person again. |

| Seether – Rise Above This Lyrics

I am not sure about the exact meaning, but I am sure that it is about Shawn losing a loved one, and he feels mixed up, but he knows he will get over it, or rise above it. Its like he is giving up on life, but then encourages himself that he "will mend himself before it gets him", so she will get over it before it seriously harms him. |
