I think Anroca pretty much got this right, I think it's bout how people believed in labour during the time tories were in power but new labour has lost the values it held. Change your name to New Forget the fucking Labour |

| Even if it is about them growing apart "his friends" could probably be something to do with Richey, even before he disappeared | |

| 'The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.' This quote by Henry Miller is quoted on Spectators Of Suicide on Generation terrorists. This sums up I think the video sort of and also the bit about the refugees, not even realising someone else is in the same position. | |

A couple of ideas to add to this; I am an architect they call me a butcher-surely about the 4real incident when people were horrified that he'd carved it into himself (butcher) when he thought of it as something with meaning (architect) or something similar? Self-disgust is self obsession-obviously it is. You're so obsessed by what you should be or want to be and you're disgusted by the fact that your not how you want to be. I spat out Plath and Pinter, maybe not about literally spitting them out but maybe quoting them like he obviously did a lot as in spitting out the words. The first time you see yourself naked you cry-to do with being a teenager maybe? When you first care how you look, and what you are and "soft skin now acne, foul breath, so broken" but you're not how you want to be because you're a teenager and everything has changed. Sleep can't hide the thoughts splitting through my mind-something to do with him being an insomniac? |

The lines "The voices in your head are calling Stop wasting your time, there's nothing coming Only a fool would think someone could save you" could also refer to the jews as they, obviously being religious thought their God would save them from the Nazis and they should stop wasting their time praying...? Also it could be about working your life away talking about a revolution that won't come for you because you've just become one of them and your not going to do anything about it. |
