Here's my take. I have no idea about the last bit. I always thought this song was about meeting some 'life of the party' type and feeling dull in comparison. Great song. "What's up" as he arrived Smiling wide Ever up and ever overpsyched One every single count he won Scott tried to let him know I'm no fun I hung out to take the overflow It didn't matter he won Said I learned From my sunburn No misunderstanding Go motor orange man It's over now Until you're all but brown you win |

| Given BSP's predilection towards military history, I thought it was a reference to civilians being ordered to turn off all lights in a city in order to confuse enemy bombers. | |

Here's my take: The song has several references to WWII: "The man with the skull and bones" = The SS Totenkopf "To the anti-aircraft crew" "The boys from the hitler youth" "Silk and cyanide" = "Between silk and cyanide" Six weeks left alive So I think it's written from the perspective of a British youth during WWII. Soddom vs. Meggido is then the choice between peace vs. war, specifically the choice between immersing oneself in worldly pleasures (symbolized by bicycle rides and nature) or taking part in the battle between good and evil. The narrator is unable, however, to escape this conflict ("Several lucifers come and we will beat them all") which comes in the form of war on the European front. He is unable to understand why his counterparts on the other side cannot "just say no", why they have chosen to follow "Lucifers" and malevolence instead of good, and wonders if this is what "the future holds" for humanity. Something like that maybe... |

It should be: "To Soddom I will go not to Megiddo" Megiddo being a mountain in Israel where the battle of armageddon will take place according to The Book of Revelation. In fact, Har (mountain) + Meggido --> Armageddon |
