Sufjan Stevens – Opie's Funeral Song Lyrics 16 years ago
"We tied it upside down"

Tieing a ribbon upside down is a mistake, so I think it was supposed to show how young and stupid they were.

"You put a hole in my head
Just like you put a fire in the tree"

To Me, it means two things. (Both might not apply, maybe only one, I don't know)
Remember the Land Before Time? The song by the Alligator and the bird called "I need you" ?
the one that went
"I need you like a hole in the head,
I need you like a snake in the bed,
Well who needs you?
Not me."

I think that it's talking about how he didn't know him well, and he didn't need him like a friend needs a friend.
Think about it: If you see a tree burn down...what do you feel? Trees are beautiful, strong, proud, and generous. They make Oxygen so we can live. If the tree on your from lawn burns down, wouldn't your neighbours come over and talk to you about it? I think Opie Must have been very generous. Even in Death he's teaching and giving.

Baby Jane - I agree completely

Jeisenbe- Good point. That was a good movie, I watched it in grade eight and our class did a HUGE project on it.

Tokio Hotel – Don't Jump Lyrics 17 years ago
=O
Dudes.
Has anyone seen the video?
http://weblog.xanga.com/RainDots/649584583/dont-jump.html

ignore the start,
Heres the lyrics (that aren't blatantly obvious xD ) :
I say your name in silence
You don't wanna hear it right now - you need time to think, time to talk instead of listen

The eyes of the city
Are counting the tears falling down
Each one a promise
Of everything you never found - You're crying because of everything you're missing. No one really cares, but the city can see them. (or in the video, people car you'll jump, not that you're depressed)

You open your eyes
But you can't remember what for-
2 things : 1) You gave the world another chance to show you something to make you step down from that ledge 2) You don't know why you get up in the morning, and take another day.

The snow falls quietly
You just can't feel it no more - could be one of two:
1) You're too numb to feel it
2) Falling->percipitation->snow = frozen rain = frozen tear = Frozen = cold. Cold = Mean. Crying from the harshness. (oh-ho!)

If anything else doesn't Make sense to you,
Go back to grade 7 english.
(or maybe it was grade 10 for everyone else, but I learned it in grade 7 via Highschool english teacher teaching grade 7)
