| Flogging Molly – Man With No Country Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is absolutely my favorite Flogging Molly song yet. To me, it's another song about how the whole world is going to hell. However, the lyrics almost seem to imply a faint glimmer of hope, making it seem like the world can still be salvaged : "But there is a light, there's still a spark" All in all, a fantastic song. =) |

| Flogging Molly – May The Living Be Dead (In Our Wake) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
My favorite song... by any band. I absolutely love these lyrics : "Will ya dance with me now, heaven's child" sang the clown, "We've nothing to lose but your wings and my frown" It is just so cool. It always seemed to me like he's saying "Will you dance with me, heaven's child? The worst thing that can happen is you'll become mortal and I'll stop being unhappy." The entire song is absolutely beautiful, but those two lines are my favorite. =) |

| Originally by Tom Jones, FM just covered it. Still did a sweet job with it, though. | |
| Flogging Molly – The Lightning Storm Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This was, I think, the second song I heard from the new album. As soon as I heard it, I was like, "Yes! I love this song!" I think it's a pretty mournful song, regretting past mistakes and talking about how terrible things are now. =/ | |
| Flogging Molly – Within a Mile of Home Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yay for the first song I ever learned on the guitar. It could mean any of a number of a things, in my mind, but I think the general idea is summed up in the first line of the chorus : "Don't turn your back on me, don't ever let me down". It's about long friendships, and always having your friend / lover there to support you. | |
| Flogging Molly – With a Wonder and a Wild Desire Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I would say this song is mostly about perseverance, and staying strong. Still has quite a romantic touch to it, as Delta observed. ^^ | |
| Flogging Molly – Every Dog Has Its Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Mike, the lines of the chorus are actually pretty cool... "Every dog has its day Like every woman she gets her own way" Means that every dog will absolutely, definitely, get his day, and that fact is just as certain as the fact that every woman will eventually get her way. =) |

| Flogging Molly – Cruel Mistress Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Fantastic song. To me, it's all about regretting ever going to sea. | |
| Flogging Molly – Black Friday Rule Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| To me, I think, this song was always about being the lowest of the low, having a shitty life (I've been down in this world, down and almost broken), and being rejected / ignored (I’d give you my heart, if you gave me the truth). Then most of the verses make it seem like he's reached the point where he doesn't care any more, he's just living his life however the hell he wants. | |
| Flogging Molly – If I Ever Leave This World Alive Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is a kind of hard song to get a meaning out of. Friendship and being there is as close as I can get. It is an absolutely fantastic song, though, the kind of thing you'd want to sing for a chick. -_- | |
