for me it does not have to be about old love. It feels more like a best friend kind of thing. That's how I feel it. The way I hear this song, it's about two people who where very close. Shared all their secrets and thoughts. They did a lot together. And they met in their teenage years. I think the she worried a lot about this other girl. I think she also had a hard time letting go this special bound the two of them seemed to have. But this is her way of saying, "it's okay it wend this way, that we're not as close as we used to be.
