here's what i think about the first verse. i'm fearless - not worried about what critics or haters say, he's gonna do his own thing now hear this - listen up i'm earless - not listenin to the haters or the same old lyrics about cars, money, hoes and i'm peerless - play on the word 'peer' like you can peer with your eyes and also that no other rappers are on his level, he has no 'peers' or is 'peerless' that means i'm eyeless - not watchin how they do things or what goes on in their videos either which means i'm tearless - he doesn't feel bad for how he feels about this which means my iris resides where my ears is which means i'm blinded but i'ma find it, i can feel it's nearness (i'm still thinkin on this part) but i'ma veer so i don't come near - (this part too) like a chicken or a deer - back to his veering, like when you play chicken and the cars go straight at each other, or a deer caught in the headlights but i remember i'm not a listener or a seer so my windshield smear - since he's not worried about what other people think, he's gonna bump heads with some here, you steer, i really shouldn't be behind this clearly cuz my blindness- he shouldn't be doin it because it doesn't conform with everyone else in the genre the windsheield is minstrel - minstrel shows were back in the day when white people, and later on blacks also, painted their faces black and acted like stereotypical "negroes" as a form of comedy. i think he's sayin the windshield is just covered or that with a lot of rappers and wannabes out there, there are a lot of posers who are just putting on a show. the whole grill is roadkill - play on 'grill' like drivin blind he hit the deer with the grill of his car, and also grills people wear on their teeth are played out so trill and so sincere, yeah i'm both them there - what it says, real and sincere took both pills when the bloke in the trenchcoat and the locs in the chair had approached him here - you've seen the matrix. took both pills so it's like he's in the matrix and the real world. both planes, he gets on to the air'plane' later. made it as clear as a ghost, or a biter of the throats in the mirror - ghosts are clear. biter of the throat is a vampire. they have no reflections in mirrors so they're clear. the writer of the quotes for the ghosts who supplier of the notes to the living - ghostwriters write rhymes for other people. it's like saying he writes for the ghostwriters who write for other people. riveting as rosie, pockets full of posies- (i gotta think more on this part, too. rosie the riveter was the symbol of the working women back during world war ii when the guys were off fighting. so i think it's riveting like exciting / gettin on the war theme) given to the mother of the deceased awaken at war til i'm restin in peace - (yeah i don't know either. either when he's awake he sees all this nonsense on tv and in the magazines and only gets peace in own mind. or he's gonna stay on the grind doin things his way for the rest of his life) |
