| AFI – The Boy Who Destroyed The World Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow you are an idiot. If you actually looked at their song lyrics, you'd know that is not true. Hell, Narrative of Soul Against Soul is an anti-suicide song ;) |
| AFI – Wester Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Oh, really? I don't see how you're getting that. Why don't you tell us why you think this album is about that? Besides, I doubt Davey would write a whole album about drugs. |
| AFI – Death of Seasons Lyrics | 16 years ago |
For the screaming at the end, I believe it is this: It won't be alright Despite what they say Just watch the sky As stars collide I recently heard the song live and that's what it sounded like to me. c: This song is fucking amazing, it is. My favourite of all their songs. I also, being a person who adores electronic music, LOVE the little techno bit in the second verse. And the end of it with the distant screaming... amazing. As for the meaning, I get a strong vibe of death from this song. From the title, to the lyrics, and the sound of the song. |

| My Chemical Romance – The Ghost of You (Reverse) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Holy shittttt. I just downloaded it and gave it a listen for kicks, but wow. It scared the living shit out of me, I actually didn't expect to hear most of that. There were a couple lines, in the lyrics here, that I didn't hear in the actual reversed version. "Small houses, no lumber" is an example there. Didn't hear that. I heard things like "cheaterrrr" and "I could be more", if you want examples of what I did hear. But wow. I love the irony of this one compared to the original. This one is sooo much darker. And about it being intentional... pff I doubt it is. I don't think something written like this was intentional. |

| My Chemical Romance – Headfirst For Halos Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Hey wait a sec, it cut off my post. I said after that, that I love that one line because the way Gerard sings it is hilarious... Haha. |
| My Chemical Romance – Headfirst For Halos Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song makes me laugh, just like Dead! does XD I love how light and floaty this song sounds, especially that it's a song about suicide and drugs. It's all like.... serious concept, but the music and singing make it seem happy. "And I think I'll blow my brains against the ceiling" |
| My Chemical Romance – Welcome To The Black Parade Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Lol, *a lot, not I lot. Wtf? | |
| My Chemical Romance – Welcome To The Black Parade Lyrics | 17 years ago |
...Okay, I haven't looked through all the comments yet, but it seems that most of the comments are just talking about how shitty they are or how they're emo/gay/sellouts/lame/whatever, or even how this song is overplayed, instead of talking about what the song is about. This is SONGMEANINGS.net, not dissallbands.org, SELLOUTS.com, whichbandsareemo.net, songsthatareoverplayed.net, dissdissdiss.com, THEYAREGAY.org, or letstalkshit.com. It's not a chatbox, it's a lyric site. :) Though, some of the comments I've seen have made me chuckle. Anyways, to the meaning, I feel that the "black parade" is a metaphor for death... or the grim reaper. Since it's a concept about a dying patient, it makes sense. Though, the 9/11 idea someone came up with is actually pretty neat. And original. :) In the way of "why didn't I think of that D:?" Saint_street, your idea of the songs meaning is really neat too. And the piano part at the beginning reminds me of another song I've heard... but I have no idea what. I like this song. I lot. It's catchy. I want to give a nice "fuck you", to everyone who has been bashing this song... or the band. That's not what the lyric comments are for... bitch in your journal about it if you cannot hold it in... it may be better for you. |

| Linkin Park – What I've Done Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Fantastic song. I love how it's also in the end of Transformers... My favourite on the CD. They've definitely matured more. |
| Linkin Park – Given Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
..Dude, I love Chester's really long scream in this. :3 This song is so badass. One of my favourites in the CD. Unlike a few of you, I actually enjoy their new sound. And Rooster, that's pretty close to my interpretation of the song. |
| Evanescence – Lacrymosa Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is one of the few songs that give me shivers every time I hear it. Beautiful song. The last verse has to be the best. | |
| Evanescence – Tourniquet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Well, this song is about suicide and how the singer wants God to be her... tourniquet. To stop the bleeding. My favourite Evanescence song and I doubt that'll change. I love how "desperate", Amy sounds when singing the chorus. And just because she sings a song involved with a little religious stuff doesn't mean they're a christian band. Christian bands are different. ;) |
| Three Days Grace – Never Too Late Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This may sound a bit sad to some of you, but this song has helped me. If it wasn't for it... I may not be here right now. It's a special song to me, and I doubt that'll ever changed. One of my favourites of their songs. It has a.... deeper sense that some of their rowdier, louder songs don't have. Kudos. | |
| Evanescence – My Immortal Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song has to be the most beautiful on the CD. Absolutely pretty. One of my favourites, right after Going Under and Bring Me to Life. | |
| Evanescence – Haunted Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I will always think about ghosts when I hear this song. It seems to make so much sense in that way. At least to me. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Lol@people bashing the song/band horribly. I noticed that a lot of bands are being labelled "emo" lately. I'm curious, what makes a band... emo? Is it the lyrics you don't understand or is it how the singers dress? XD Or something else? This, however, is the song that got me into P!ATD. Sad, but it's true. I love this song. A lot. I could listen to it over and over and never get bored of it. It's the first song of theirs I've heard and I liked it, so I decided to listen to more of their songs, and now they're one of my favourite bands. :) And the video goes along excellently with the song and also matches it as well. :) |
| My Chemical Romance – It's Not A Fashion Statement, It's A Fucking Deathwish Lyrics | 17 years ago |
People, what is your obssession with bashing MCR? Actually, bashing any band is wrong. You don't like them? Then don't comment. Especially if you're going to be rude about it. I myself don't like country music very much, but do you see me on someone who does country music's lyric page and bashing them? No, so please quit the bashing. :) Honestly, I don't think making music is easy. Try doing it yourself, and after that, think twice before bashing a band. MyChemicalNothing, I agree completely with your interpretation. And this song rocks. One of my favourites on this CD of theirs along with I Never Told You What I Do For a Living and To the End. :) And lol, Scorch. |
| My Chemical Romance – Helena Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Lol, Sher_143. You're right. It goes... "So long, and goodnight." "So long, not goodnight." I happen to be listening to the song right now xD I saw your comment and took a closer listen. This song is actually really good. It's the song that got me into them. And I wish people wouldn't comment just to bash a band they hate. If you hate them, shut up and don't look up the lyrics. :) |
| The Crüxshadows – The 4th Phase Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I /love/ this song... so, so much. This song makes me feel as if it is about some sor of relationship, the once we have, twice we have... reminding me of stages of a relationship... at least that's what I think. |
| The Crüxshadows – Birthday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is one of the best on their DreamCypher album. I love the beat... the sound of this song so much, And the meaning... I think it's self-explanatory... but I love songs that have meaning like this one. |
| Nightwish – Bless The Child Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I always interpreted this song to be about innocence. To some point, at least. About someone who's dying and finally realized that they didn't have much of a childhood, much of a life. That they weren't accepted. This is an amazing song, one of their best. |
| My Chemical Romance – Vampires Will Never Hurt You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I always thought this song was about vampires until I read the lyrics. Yah, vampires are basically beings who suck the life/blood outta you, ones that try to make you one of them... this song is likely about the singer singing about someone who he doesn't want to become used... become like those "vampires". "I'd rather you kill me than me seeing you become one of them", or something among that point. I still think it is about vampires, just in a different way now. |
| My Chemical Romance – Dead! Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is made of awesome. It makes me crack up whenever I hear it. That heart monitor sound at the beginning is a very great touch to the song and it's meaning. The honest observation part also makes me laugh just because of the accent. For real. I love listening to this song when I'm down. Always manages to cheer me up a little. Great song. |
| My Chemical Romance – Teenagers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Looooooooooooove. This song. I laugh whenever I hear it, especially the chorus. I think I've played/sung this song enough for my mother to be annoyed with it XD Lol, Timeskip, when I read that original comment, I thought they were mentioning a bird XD And "tuck/dock in your clothes"? XD That's darken your clothes, for real. Tuck/dock in your clothes makes no sense. This song is about stereotypes, at least that's the vibe I'm getting from it. Reminds me of me a little when I was in middle school, since I wore black a lot I was always thought to be "emo" or a "goth". |
| My Chemical Romance – Blood Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ha, this one make me laugh every time I hear it. I always think about either vampires or blood donations whenever I hear this song. XD |
| My Chemical Romance – I Never Told You What I Do For a Living Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Let's just say, an awesome close to an awesome album. One of my favourites. They're together, but they then realize it isn't quite what they wanted. |
| My Chemical Romance – The End. Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is a great intro to a great album. I love the "beep-beep" sound in the beginning. And yup, about dying and no one caring. Hopefully the meaning hasn't been repeated too many times. And to people who are saying they are sellouts... WTF? |
| My Chemical Romance – I'm Not Okay (I Promise) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Do people need to be posting completely rude comments on here that really have nothing to do with the song? :/ This song is one of my favourites out of the ones I heard so far. I always think of this song being about things that go on in high school or when you're a teenager or something like that. It's really good. My favourite part has to be when Gerard says "Trust me.", and the "I'm not o-fucking-kay" is not far behind that. Very good song. |
| My Chemical Romance – House Of Wolves Lyrics | 17 years ago |
For one thing, it's S-I-N, I S-I-N, not say it lover, say it, same with the yes I am at the end. For me, the "n" at the end of S-I-N is heard rather clearly.... Just saying. I think my interpretation of it has already been said by someone else, so I'll leave that alone. But this is an amazing song. I can't help but to airguitar to it at points, sadly enough. xD |
| Stabbing Westward – Why Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This has to be one of the more depressing songs these guys have done. One of my favourites. | |
| The Crüxshadows – Go Away Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Well, the meaning to this one is clear. It's one of those well-known breakup songs, but written with more sorrow. It's beautiful, and the tone works. | |
| The Crüxshadows – Here Comes The Rain Again Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This isn't an original song of theirs, in fact, being a cover. But it's still done wonderfully. It's a very beautiful and well-done song nonetheless. I especially love the instrumental part right after "sometimes I just need you to hold me", and also the cool rain and storm sound at the end of the song. |
| The Crüxshadows – Eye Of The Storm Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This.... this is my favourite song of all times. I've loved it right from the start. My favourite part has to be the chorus-like bit, starting with "there is no love untouched by hate", it's sung so strongly and with everlasting power. Such a beautiful song. |
| The Crüxshadows – Bloodline Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Something about this song makes me think about vampires. Especially the last few lines... "Enrapture you For eternity For eternity" |
| The Crüxshadows – Perfect Lyrics | 17 years ago |
One of their few songs that have a meaning that pops right out... I love songs like that. Not as much as I like songs that the meaning isn't so obvious, though. Basically yeah, just about someone who believes his girl is perfect no matter what people say, and that his girl doesn't seem to understand. |
| The Crüxshadows – Nothing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
...Whoa. This song is amazing shit. It pulled me in from when I first heard it. Awesome song... and I love how Rogue (singer, if anyone doesn't know) sings certain things, especially the "what have you done, what have you done?". Something hints to me that this song may be about death or suicide.... or maybe, cutting yourself, like Lucifer has said. |
| The Crüxshadows – Insomnia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| No wonder it's called Insomnia... basically about the things that seem to be happening when you're alone in the dark. What you think about and what prevents you from being able to sleep. | |
| The Crüxshadows – Binary Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Actually, Hear, I think you're pretty damn close to the meaning, at least to me. That sounds pretty close. This song has to be one of the best on Wishfire. I love the fast beat, especially furing the chorus. |
| Stabbing Westward – Save Yourself Lyrics | 17 years ago |
One of my favourite songs by them. I find it funny that the band broke up in '01, yet I heard this song on the radio maybe two weeks ago. I just find it funny. I always sing to this song when I hear it... it just has to be one of my top songs period. Basically this song goes on about... "why are you asking me to save you? I can't even save myself. I cannot help you. You'll have to save yourself." Sad they broke up, I really like their music. |
| Stabbing Westward – Sleep Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This was one of the first of their songs that I fell in love with... since it has such a spooky and very dark sound to it... not to mention the lyrics. And that it has a dark message that not many bands write about... much less give it the dark and spooky tone Stabbing Westward has done. But yeah, I think we all get that it's about a young girl who's been/being sexually abused by her father. |
| Within Temptation – Stand My Ground Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I still don't see how people think Within Tempation and Evanescence are similar. I'm a fan of both of them and they don't really sound similar, save the whole "female rock singers thing". I can see how people would say about the videos, 'cause yes, the videos are similar. But they're different enough from each other. People need to quit comparing bands, seriously. Each band has their own unique sound and it really doesn't make sense to compare them. This song happens to be one of my favourites of their's. I believe it's about standing your ground (well, duh xD) and going on, not letting anything stop you and having power to keep going. That's the message I get, anyways. |
| Evanescence – Call Me When You're Sober Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I wish people wouldn't post just to bitch about how much they hate this song. If you hate it, don't comment. ;) Especially when you're just going to bash it. I happen to like this song. Didn't at first, because to me, in the beginning when she started to sing, it sounded a little "country-like" and keep in mind, I don't like much in the ways of country songs. But it grew on me, and now, I like this song a lot. I think it's obvious what this song is about and I don't feel a need to repeat it. The video for this song was a bit wierd, however, in my opinion. |
