This song embodies everything I want to see in the US. That is to say that we should stop being selfish capitalists and help those who need it. Same with "Dear Diary" by Eastern Sunz.
PEACE!! |

It definitely seems to have some religious meaning, especially the part in the end where it mentions "people would ride from far and wide just to seek the word he spread"
There are also allusions to a baby in a basket (Moses). IT seems very religious to me but I don't know much about Christian/Islamic motifs |

The song seems to be about a someone who's gotten out of relationship and the person he was with wants to be friends but he's not ready for it yet. |

I agree. The first line to me, suggests he is being needy and might have unjustly accussed his girlfriend of something. If a poet wants to become famous they should just become rockstars! |

I love this song. It's suits my life perfectly. Girls taking advantage of nice guys..yeah definitely a true story. But not all girls are evil just the ones I've dated lol. I think it would be awesome to do an animation to this song. (I don't think the grandpa would take advantage of the girls he dated, I think he would just not invest all his emotion in the wrong ones if he could take it back--P. knowitall) |

I just found out that the lead signer (Jakob Dylan) is Bob Dylan's youngest son. Maybe that's the song sounds like Tangled Up in Blue lol |

before I read the discussion I thought Marlenas was a place in California. I think I got it confused with Salinas. It still seems to me that Marlenas is an inanimate object and he's personifying it. The song also reminded me of Tangled Up in Blue. Invisible City reminds me of Dylan's "Not Dark Yet"--the melody seems similar. |
