I think this song is about those great relationships that you have that end peacefully, but every now and then you think to yourself that you wish you could have done things differently because everyone that you date doesn't compare to that great love you once had. She is basically saying that even though she ended things everything she felt for him still remains and she wishes she could change things. When she ses i shouldn't be telling you i think she is saying that because the guys is now in a relationship but she still hasn't let go, so deep down she is hoping that he still feels the same. I especially love the bit 'i've tried to erase the way your kisses taste, but some things are girl can never forget'. |

i think when justin wrote this song he was writing about a toxic relationship. When it's good it's really good but when it's bad it's really bad. He is explaining how hard it is to remember the bad times when your experiencing the good. When rihanna sings i guess thats what i get for wishful thinking, i nver should of let you back in my door she is singing bout all the times that she let him back into her life and he is just let her down. So basically this song is about getting over someone you have a really powerful connection to but can also make you feel like crap. The name rehab is so clever because these kind of relationship's are similar to drug addictons because the low points in the relationship are like withdrawls from drugs. This is a really well written song. |

in this song i think rihanna is explaining that shes not like all the other girls out there and doesn't get emotionally involved in relationships.. kinda like samantha from sex and the city but less skanky. But then she meets this guys and he played her and she let it happen. But she is still trying to be the other girl that doesn't let her feelings effect her but she can't help to feel heart broken. |
