…He obviously told a great big fucking lie. I love how it’s from a different point of view than what you usually get. He cheated on his girlfriend, and lied about it and keeps lying. But he feels guilty and knows that she’ll find out eventually. So he breaks up with her, because he feels too guilty. |

This song is absolutely amazing. I think he’s talking about the night when he first cheated on his girlfriend, and how he was lonely, and drunk which led up to him cheating. A lot of his songs have references to being unfaithful. |
