I think this song is the anthem for my generation getting high on weed. "Set the world on fire" and "Burn brighter than the sun" are clear giveaways. this is just my interp. but when I first heard this song my step-mom's sister sung it to me because she knows I smoke.

although this song came out a while after his death it seems like the lyrics are about elliott smith and jon's friendship with him. once elliott got further into drugs jon confronted him about it and this caused their relationship to end. anyways i could listen to this song for hours.
