The meaning of this song to me is doubled. Firstly; one shouldn't idolize people becuse they are after all just humans with faults just like the rest of us. Secondly; if you're in a position where people look up to you you should at least try to be civil against your fans. And in my book Jeff Ament does not only write GREAT songs, he also sings great. Just listen to their cover of The Ramones 'I Just Wanna Have Something To Do'. |

| Jeff Ament wrote this amazing song and according to the Lost Dogs booklet it was about his parents when he began writing it but it turned into a song about him and P. My guess is P. is his girlfriend Pandora. And I definitely believe it's a song about being away from the one you love. | |
