He meets his wife, falls in love, but must leave to tour. He wishes to leave his body, and spend a night with her while he is away. They spend it laughing, dancing, talking. He tells her that his selfishness of being in a band and leaving all the time will end at some point. Their imaginary night ends and he returns to his body, but left a sign that he was there. Flowers are their own way of communicating their entire life together, and how much it means to him. The way the song is structured, it makes sense. He's alone and yearning in the beginning, then when the song crashes into the heavy beat, they are together, spiritually, dancing and having fun and making love. Then it's over, the song slows... he's gone, but not without leaving a reminder of their love. |
