| this has got to be one of the best songs by tool... and Im pretty sure we've got it covered that its about some guy who was saying to maynard (not literally but, thats how its explained) that theyre (tool) sell outs now so the guy doesnt like them any more, and yeah maynards just saying a big fuck you to that. i have to admit, ive done that before haha, like 2-3 years ago i liked p!atd and fall out boy and shit (i dont like fall out boy anymore, like i dont like there music but i still like p!atd) and when they became mainstream, and everyone else loved them and shit i got so pissed off because everyone was acting like there were their favourite bands when theyve been around for ages and now theyre on the radio everyones like yay lets like them to be cool, so i stopped listening to them but i got over that and i listen to them again now, even though i only like some of their songs (music taste has changed), i know i was a dick for doing that. oh and i like old mcr stuff, but their new stuff is shithouse and since theyve become mainstream there music has become more pop influenced. which is annoying. anyway... | |

When I heard this song, I thought it was about a guy who really loved a girl, but she was depressed or something, especially because of these lines: "I worry I won't see your face, Light up again, Even the best fall down sometimes" Although I see it as an unlikely relationship and he loves her a lot but doesnt know how he is supposed to feel about the relationship "Out of the doubt that fills my mind I somehow find you and I collide" "I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind" Just the way I look at it. |

I dont actually like Miley that much but for some reason I love this song! Its about how she likes this guy (I've got my sight set on you) and shes ready to make a move (and I'm ready to aim) She really likes this guy and has from pretty much the first conversation they had and cant wait to see him again (lol) "I have a heart that will never be tamed I knew you were something special When you spoke my name Now I can't wait to see you again" First time they went out/hung out she was nervous (I st-st-stuttered when you asked me what Im thinking bout) Then after he called her back and so she knew that he liked her back. So pretty much its about a girl who really likes a guy, they hang out and shes shy around him (but wants to see him again), then the guy calls her back and so the girl then knows that he likes her back its pretty literate like most of other Miley songs. And to whoever said that the guy is called Leslie, leslie is her best (girl) friend. |

this song is my favourite song, ever. I could listen to it for hours and hours (actually I already have) and never get bored of it! its amazing! anyway, it is definitely about 'making love', obviously. (yeah love is a verb here in my room!). So its not just physical sex, its more emotional (and also) physical sex. If that made any sense... I dont think its about a long relationship though, I think its about a girl that he just met at a party or something. Its like he expected the party to be boring but when the girl came he felt there was a meaning to be there or whatever. So that explains: "This party is old and uninviting Participants all in black and white You enter in fullblown technicolor Nothing is the same after tonight" I think that they met at the party, and now moved on from their and went into a relationship. "You enter and close the door behind you Now show me the world as seen from the stars If only the lights would dim a little I'm weary about eyes upon my scars" I dont think its about physical scars, but emotional/mental scars. Maybe the lights dim thing is about slowing things down maybe? And not going straight into a physical relationship. And the pink tractor beam into your incision part is pretty self explanatory! The "so thank you for being that kind of girl" is about him not expecting much from the girl, well he liked her and everything but he didnt really think it was going to be like the relationship it "blossomed" into. Or it could be about a one night stand but its still more emotional sex then physical (I dont know how that would work haha). I dunno if thats what the song really means its just my outlook on it. |
