i agree. why don't people talk about songs they like instead of trashing all the other ones. i personally like all metallica songs. and being from lynyrd skynyrds home town i like them and this version of their song. |

holy crap! nobody here knows wtf they're talking about. first read the lyrics, credits and all. if youre any kind of a metallica fan you'll know this is one many songs on a 2 disk set of covers, some recorded in the bands earlier days, mostly disk 2, and some recorded in the studio before the set came out. they covered these bands to 1. show who influenced them before they were real big and 2. by putting them all on one set no one can accuse them of not being original on their own studio albums. but yeah this song is about a foolish greedy person. |

no drugs. i think its just about going full speed ahead. not so much copying the meaning of motorhead, but definitely influenced the title. btw i love the motorhead covers on Garage Inc, especially overkill, which reminds me of this song. and lastly if you dont like metallica now you never liked them so make like a tree and get the f*** out of here. |

since this is a solo i guess its open to discussion. but why are we comparing bassists. this is a song written by someone who loved music. just listen to it and shut up. unless you youre worried about messing up your hair or hitting your head once the drums kick in. cliff is the reason i started listening to other bands like thin lizzy. im just a fan of music with passion not torturing the laws of physics. so if they dont bang their heads, kill em all. |
