| The analysis on this song is pretty much spot on. As didenofa0315 points out, Adam has written about Amy in more than one song. I believe she is also the girl in the silly yellow hat in "Hard Candy". In that song he refers her in evenings on Long Island which has all but convinced me that this is the same girl Adam told the crowd he had "the best date" with back in mid-August 2000 when I attended a CC at Jones Beach. Miami and Hard Candy both have to do with this relationship. As a side note, that Tour (Live and Counting Crows) in 2000 was simply awesome!! | |
