yeah, i always heard at the end "he dont know if shes got the wedding rings on, she dont know if hes got the wedding rings on" anyway i think the beauty of krugs songs is the fact that he doesnt deal in concrete stories and specifics, . i think they ll always mean different things to different people, for me the first lines "you are a water fall waiting inside a well, you are a wrecking ball before the building fell" etc is describing a moment when someones on the eve of doing something terrible. to me its kind of about loving someone who is fragile and very close to self destruction. he anticipates and accepts the fact that she will more than likely leave him/and or destroy him soon, but chooses to resign himself to this fate and love her anyway rather than beat her to the mark. |
