This song to me is about a woman who was very stressed out about things in her life, so she ran away, left her place and is now discovering life, different experiences, and learning about herself, FINDING herself. She says she was "looking for me". She found alot of different things and experienced alot, including that a part of her died. She had some meaningful and possibly religious experiences. She is still running, meaning she is still out there experiencing life, looking for herself, looking for peace... peace of mind, happiness, clarity, etc. She is still running away from her past. Beautiful song, one of my favorites of Madonna for sure. |

This song, to me, tells of the love I have for my son. He just turned four years old and he is my only child. I am a single mother who is very devoted to him and have never known love (besides perhaps love involved with religion) like this. His skin and bones, just beautiful. Stars mean alot between my son and I. I used to sing twinkle twinkle little star to him (but my own personal very slow version) to put him to sleep at night. I tell him he is my "Angel Star". I also tell him that this song, as well as Little Star by Madonna are songs just for him. He will grow up knowing that this song is for him. Beautiful boy, beautiful song. |
