I think that maybe they were in love at a previous time. But then he became mentally unstable and was sent to a nuthouse (or they were seperated and the seperation caused him to go insane) hence the 'hospital' part of it, which would also work with the 'terminally ill' interpretation of the lyrics. But now he's out again and the verses are like his evil side, but the chorus is like him sweet talking her into getting back together. Again.. teenage soap operas mess with your mind a little. |

I'm 99% sure it's 'darling don't you be polite' and 'I'm not like all the other boys' To me it sounds like Bob is stalking some girl. 'in the shadows where I hide from you', 'the violently alone I feel', and 'I won't take a no' give me that idea. Like maybe he's mentally unstable and after this girl. Or maybe I've been watching too many teenage soap operas... |
