There's a girl, and she's engaged to this guy that brings her down blah blah blah. Then the singer/narrator of the song and her are fooling around, and he loves her, and doesn't want the finacee to bring her down. so when they're all three together he's like "How am I supposed to act while you're around him when everything he says brings you down?" So basically it's awkward and wants to know how to act when they're all together. BUT when he's bringing her down, the narrator wants to be like "WTF MANG" but can't cause then it would be obvioussss. and its a secret shhh. hahah. thats how i see it anyways. |

this is definitely about a one-night stand or a relationship going too fast. most likely, the girl gets pregnant AKA "accidents will happen". "Though he says he'll wait forever / It's now or never / But she keeps him hanging on". He wants what he wants, and she's not sure, but when she gives it up, accidents happen. also, the relationship going to fast OR the one-night stand can have to do with the line "it's the words that we don't say" because with something as HUGE/important as that, there needs to be some 'i love yous' or some means of communication, and there isn't. |

"all was golden in the sky" refers to the equality of the colors in the sky. you know when the sun is going down and the sun is coming up at the same time? one side of the world has the moon, and the other has the sun. SO when they're both up at the same time, the sky is a weird golden glow around twilight. :] moon=girl sun=boy that's how i see it. |
