Oh yeah Happy Gilmore and so much more. Listen and feel indeed, that's what it's all about. Love that guitar riff, just melts the soul. One of the best (of many) rock and roll has ever gave us. |

MORE... Although in the foldout for the album it does say "If there was nothing than there'd be nothing right." But you can't deny he is saying "if the there was nothing WRONG than there'd be nothing right." Other screwups in the foldout are in Sound of Madness "feeling so sorry" is actually "looking so sorry." Makes me wonder if he really says "she waved" in second chance? |

11talbs---- I'm pretty sure Shinedown is a big fan of Skynard. Correct me if i'm wrong here but somewhere in the thank you's in the foldout from Leave a Whisper, one of the band member's mentions a Van Zant. (you know, like Ronnie Van Zant) I'm not sure if one of the member's is married to a Van Zant daughter or not but i know it's something like that. Then again it could be unrelated. Even more abstract is the thought of the band's name. Shinedown. Like Ronnie's soul is shining down from heaven? Just a thought. Great song. Killer album. Best ever. Best modern rock band there is. |

I think the Halley's comet reference refers to realizing that the world is so much bigger than one can comprehend. Metaphorically, the comet circles the world and travels immense distances to do it's thing, and only comes back to visit.....what like every 70 years or something? But it definitly doesn't sound like he's saying "she waved." Sounds more like "shooting" or even "she winked." But that's what it says in the album so i guess i'll have to accept it. Awesome song, one of their best, but only a small sample of what "The Sound of Madness" has to offer. THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE TOP 5 BEST CD'S I HAVE EVER SEEN. Buy it. None of that illegal downloading crap either. Music like this deserves profit, even if it's outta my pocket. |

I had to create an account just to continue this chain of young Dire Straits fans lol. I'm also 18 and completely agree with Cliffy that classic rock songs such as these blow most of the new crap out of the water! I can't get enough of the guitar in this song. Dire Straits rocks! |
