To me this song is about him losing a lover, but hoping for her return. Its as if she has left him for another yet he still hoolds a candle for her. The song says "Follow your own road baby I'll be there when you need me To love and to comfort and what he got ain't Enough to keep you in the air Angel, I'll be there" which is saying that he will still be there for her when she needs him. |
