| Dir En Grey – Gaika, Chinmoku ga Nemuru Koro (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Sorry, I haven't got a clue. You might want to search around other lyric sites for the "as sung" version rather than just this english translation. The beginning of this song definitly reminds me of the music in Phantasy Star Online...just thought I'd mention it. I think that this song definitly shows off Shinya's awesome drum skills. As a drum afficianado myself, it absolutely makes me swoon. ^^ |

... Sometimes I call my cat 'my Bugaboo'. I don't think I will be doing that ever again. |

| Dir En Grey – Reiketsu Nariseba Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Many the songs on this album, and especially this one, seem to be heavily influenced by Indian (not Native American, but the actual country of India) music. I like this new sound...but at the same time I hope it doesn't carry on too much. Similar to how I liked the "KoRn" sound they had in their guitars at some moments during the Marrow of a Bone album...but would have been disapointed if it had showed up in the next album. My favorite part of this song is near the end when he screams...he honestly sounds like some sort of bird of prey. How often does a singer manage to pull that off? <3 |

| Dir En Grey – Glass Skin (Uroboros version) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Wonderful song...the imagery is just amazing. Most Dir en Grey songs seem to tell an epic story if you really read into them, versus how most bands tend to talk vaguely about a topic. This song really makes me think of a love or an affair that wasn't seen as appropriate in the eyes of the townspeople. "It vainly comes just crashing down In this sad and forgotten little town" Whether it was an adulterious or maybe homosexual relationship, I'm not sure. But it seems that one of the members of this relationship is pregnant, and even though their relationship wasn't 'innapropriate', so to speak, the child is still innocent and 'good'. "The hand of the child born tomorrow will be just pure and nothing else" It honestly reminds me of a modern twist on the story of 'The Scarlet Letter' by Nathaniel Hawthorne. If anyone has read it, I'm sure you can see what I mean. |

| Dir En Grey – Toguro (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love this song. It's my favorite off the new CD at the moment. I also love the line "cover scars with scars." *sighs* Kyo is such a poetic man, it makes me jealous! lol | |
| Dir En Grey – Repetition of Hatred (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Well, it talks about children and embryos, and it's by Kyo so...my first thought is that it must be about abortion. lol. (in case you haven't noticed, Kyo has written a lot of songs about abortion...the idea that this might also be about abortion is a pretty valid thought.) By the way, hun, I wasn't trying to force my opinion on anyone or assume that I was correct. Also, I'm sure that Kyo expects his lyrics to be analyzed, seeing as millions of people world wide hear and read them. There are many different ways to analyze any piece of literature, and just because someone else's interpretation of a song is different then yours, does not mean that they are "dumb" (in fact I'm quite capable of speaking...) or that they "fail" at life. I'm sorry you're such an angry person... |

| Dir En Grey – Rotting Root (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

...I have no idea why my post says "headache hard on" ... That is one weird typo. |

| Dir En Grey – Rotting Root (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Actually, he really is saying "fucking tricky men." That's exactly what it says in the lyric book from the cd (...although that damn tiny grey print gives me a headache hard on that black backround...) if you ever bother to look. And if you listen closely you can distinctly hear "fucki trick myown" which I'm sure is Kyoish for "fucking tricky men." Haha. Then again, we do live in a digital world, so I'm probably one of the few people who actually get in the car, drive to fye, and buy the cd. xP I'm pretty sure this song is about getting raped... |

| Dir En Grey – Child Prey (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I really tend to think that this song is more about child abuse. "kiss me kill me love me" Abusive parents tend to go through different stages -- they will kiss the child, hug them, tell them the love them, just like any other parents. But then they turn around the next day and do the opposite of those actions by hurting the child, and this "treason" is what hurts the child much more than the actual action of abuse. I identify a lot with this song, because my mother is a drunk. She tells me she loves me, but then he turns around and treats me terribley when she's been drinking. It's far from abuse, but it hurts just as bad. It's definitly about some kind of abusive or double-sided relationship. The person being talked about loves them, but hurts them all the same. |

| Dir En Grey – A Deeper Vileness (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love this song. It's just so...purely angry. My favorite part is the way he says "death for all." | |
| Dir En Grey – Repetition of Hatred (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I also interpreted this song as being about abortion. Pretty self explainitory I thought... | |
| Dir En Grey – The Fatal Believer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is really great. It expresses the whole theme of the CD. It's basically about someone loving someone else so much -- they go crazy and kill them. Classic dir en grey. : ] | |
| Dir En Grey – The Pledge Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Wow. Reading the translation...it's quite a different interpretation then I made out of it initially. I always seemed to feel like it was the super-fans' pledge to the band. Do not even ask me why. I guess cause listening to the song made me feel especially proud to be a dir en grey fan. It's probably my favorite song on the CD. I listen to it over and over and over on loops. : ] |

| Dir En Grey – Jesus Christ R 'n R (English) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I've always thought that this song was making fun of Christian rock, and fake christians who pretend to be all loving and then go home and, I dinno, beat there kids or something. "I will communicate with love I will kill with emotion" That's what the first line has always made me think of. A preacher who talks all about Jesus' love, and then goes home and beats his kid or wife or something. "False accusations kill me" Maybe the preacher is being put to death? I'm still trying to put this story together, but it's what I get from this song. |

oh, god, this song makes me laugh now. "one day I will fuck your parents" haha. is this like by playing his music we're screwing our parents over...with headaches? haha. I do love this song though. It's catchy. |

| Dir En Grey – Disabled Complexes (English) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I love the way that the title of the song seems to corrolate with the music. First time I heard the opening, I was like "yep. perfect name for this song." Although I can't figure out what the name has to do with the song. | |
| Dir En Grey – Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai Ni Hohoemi (English) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Gosh...the first time I heard this song...my heart skipped a beat. I was in my room tidying up, listening to my new CD on my walkman. And bam. I had to sit down...and just listen. It blew me away completely. It is absolutely my favorite Dir en Grey song. I think it's about a loved one committing suicide. Don't ask me why, that's just the impression I got from it. |
