Panic! at the Disco – From A Mountain In The Middle Of The Cabins Lyrics 17 years ago
"Lying there with a halo in her hair she cried, there are feathers everywhere but it's fine. You do this all the time." Seems like an angel fallen from grace. Maybe she viewed her life as perfect (heavenly), but he keeps bringing her back to the shitty reality. It also seems like him and this girl fight a lot during this song, and he says a lot of hurtful things he doesn't mean. They have kind of an abusive relationship it seems.

"Oh such torturous thing always chewing up the only ones I ever mean." The bad things he does on the side just cancel out any of the sweet things he says to her (including whenever he tells her he loves her). She's had enough so she threatens to go, but it's hard for her. "If you're going then go, go, go, go." He's almost taunting her in this part, but he knows she won't leave.

Panic! at the Disco – Northern Downpour Lyrics 17 years ago
"The ink is running toward the page, itg's chasing off the days." He's singing this song about someone he cares about being away somewhere, so this line really makes me think of him crossing off the days on a calendar each day that she's gone.

Also, I just had another thought about the moon line. That part could be talking about him not wanting the moon to go down and bring the next day, because it was their last night together before she had to leave.

Also, the part where he sings "Hey moon, please forget to fall down. Hey moon, don't you go down" doesn't seem like it's about not wanting the end to end. It's more about not wanting the NIGHT to end. If the moon is going down, dawn is coming. It's like he's worried about what the next day will bring, and he just wants to stay where he's at right now and not have to worry about it. I think we've all been there, where we just haven't wanted the next day to come yet because we'd have to do something we didn't want to. I think that's what that line is about.

"I know the world's a broken bone, but melt your headaches call it home."
This is one of my favorite lyrics from the album. It's beautiful, and it's something we've all got to remember. Though the world is messed up and it'll never be perfect, it's our home. This can be taken in a much smaller scale too. I read somewhere that Ryan had a really rough childhood because of his alcoholic father, and apparently Ryan moved out to get and wasn't close with family for a while. This line seems like he's finally come to terms with how his life used to be, and he's making peace with it and his family.

Panic! at the Disco – Do You Know What I'm Seeing Lyrics 17 years ago
First of all, I LOVE this song! I think it may be my favorite on the CD, though it's always difficult for me to choose just one.
I see everyone's point on this one and think it could really be a blending of it all. Yeah, Ryan likes Alice in Wonderland and it does seem REALLY similar to that one part. However, I don't think he would just decide to write a song about that part because he liked it so much. It must have evoked some kind of stronger emotion from him for him to sit down and write a song about it. It does really seem to be about the success or failure of this album. Writing it, they MUST have known that people would be taking sides. Panic is changing a lot with one, and naturally, the critics (as well as other fans) would probably be put off by it. They're saying here that they don't care what the critics say...they didn't listen to them before, so why would they now? Then, they're asking their fans if we'll stick by them even if people don't accept this album.

haha Oops, I guess I kind of wrote a lot here.
