The song is simple and it definatly gets the " WE KICK BUTT!" message across. i think however they were trying to express how awesome worship is. I don't know about you guys, but I've been to shows where bands play for worship and there is nothing more awesome than rocking out for god! i think thats what they are trying to convey here. |

I don't see why you would get upset and declare a song from a Christian band a "secular" song. It can't be anything else. it's just too obvious what they are talking about. It can't be a girl cause thats just too cliche and way below these guys. No girl is gonna cause your world to fall apart the way god is. |

yea these lyrics need a little polish but regardless i love this song. I think it's about realizing how sinful we are and how amazing far we are from being what we are supposed to be. The part right before the chorus kicks in definitely gives way to the feelings of isolation we christians feel in the world. No one seems to care about their sins as much, so much they don't seem to "care at all" The chorus part I'm not sure on...could be perhaps the worse part of our sin, how we can't control our own minds and we sin even in mere thought. it says somewhere in the bible (i'd give you the exact verse but I'm lazy :P) that even expressing hate towards someone you've murdered them in your heart, same with adultery and even thinking about someone with lustful intent. Perhaps he was saying how he was afraid to fall asleep cause he knew his mind was going to sin. |
