Is this a newer or older song, because Jeromy sounds SOOO much different in this song. So much that I had to double check and make sure it was ADTR! become a bett But anyway, I think the song is about a girl who did something bad when she was young, and as she got older, she tried to redirect herself and become a better person, but she kept getting off track. Everyone put her down because of her past and she had a really hard time improving herself. On the other hand, it could be the opposite. Maybe she was a really good person when she was young, but changed into a bad person as she got older. Or maybe, she is trying to find her career choice, but she wants to do something that everyone disproves of. Then, she finally picks something that she thinks will make everyone happy, but it ends up being even worse and her life ends in tragedy. |

Or possible its could even be about the death of love. Maybe she doesn't love him anymore, she found a new man. The reaper could symbolize the new man. Shes afraid to go to him because she still kinda love the old one. He is telling her to go. and at the end she decides to just leave. Nah i doubt it...lol. I'm stickin with my first choice. Besides, this is written in first person so if both of them committed suicide TOGETHER, he wouldn't still be around to write this song about it. |

| Ok so I can see how you may have thought this song is about drugs and what not, but I'm almost 100% positive ur wrong. When I first heard it, I thought it was talking about heaven and you had to love and believe in god to go there. Now that I've really thought about it, It's not about heaven at all. Its about music taking you into a whole new place and becoming mellow (for lack of another word) and peaceful when listening to it. Yes, I must agree with MKCHMMER Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin theory. This song is purely about music/rock 'n' roll. Nothing else...or so i think. | |
