McFly – Home Is Where the Heart Is Lyrics 17 years ago
To me, this song has a lot more meaning than you guys think. Lol, it's not just saying 'Home Is Just Where You Feel Warmth And Love', but I think it has a kind of war/peace feel to it. I may be really wrong, but this is how I see it.

Kay, so the war analogy comes from:
'Im a lover not a fighter,' The lover/fighter line obviously says that you're not a killer or someone who wants to hurt other people.

'Raise your hands and lay down your weapons, we could turn this around in seconds flat if you believe.' This line can be about war, you can stop it in seconds flat if you believe in peace.

Now here's the double meaning, the war analogy, in my opinion, describes the big entertainment industry/business. The huge entertainment industry is a back-stabbing one, and the song could be about people trying to get big, but realize that they'll have to hurt people in the process of getting their fame. That's when they realize that, ya know... home is where the heart is and where you really belong.

Do I make sense?

McFly – Transylvania Lyrics 17 years ago
I would explain my point of view of this song, but SaveTonight pretty much stole the words straight from my tongue. (:

I don't like McFly's upbeat, pop rock music much, but I adore this song. The second best song by them is Silence is a Scary Sound, which is written by Dougie. He should definitely write more songs!

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Machine Lyrics 17 years ago
I think she's referring the machine to herself, cause she's a 'machine' always doing what the guy wants, getting things for him. "I washed it for you" like a washing machine (xD) just to fit the title. I don't know. It's just a little theory of mine.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Our Time Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is about young lovers and how it kind of fit society today and how some people are so close-minded about relationships (same sex, etc) Probably two teens (emo? xD) who are looked down upon in society... "It's the year to be hated."

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Maps Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is amazing. When she wrote this, she was dating a band member or someone in the music industry (i'm not so sure) and he was always away and going on tour. That's why she's saying "They don't love you like I love you" because "they" are her boyfriend's "fans" and his fans only love him for his music, while Karen O is actually in love with him. She's saying "Maps" because she wants to find a way back to him to stay close to him.
