Hey! I love the video and I'll try to explain it as best as I can. In the video, you see Leona with some guy. And you are led to believe that they've fallen in love. The video shows various scenes of them together. It leads up to what appears to be their wedding but at the last minute, you see that Leona is in fact not the bride; he's marrying someone else.
Leona is in love with the guy but he's with someone else. Even though people tell her he shouldn't, she still falls for him. And decides that no matter what happens, she'll try her best to be happy. Even if she gets hurt in the end.

I adore this song. I really do. It shows a different side of Mariah Carey that we've never seen before and I quite like it. It's dark, moody and vengeful. I think it shows just how great an artist MC is. We're used to her uplifting power ballads and her depressing heartbreak songs. This song is totally differet than her rest. It's a side of Mariah that I'd love to see more of. |

To me, this is the best song Mariah Carey's ever written. It is also my favorite song ever. It's just so beautifully written but what I think stands out the most is the melody and that incredible build. The song starts are very mellow but ends with such an impactful finish. I agree with daydreamer1 when they wrote that this song is underrated. This should have been such a bigger hit than what it was.
The song is very simple yet powerful: when you love someone, you should give them enough space to find themselves when needed; it may hurt, but you have to do it. |

I can totally relate to this song. Recently, my entire group of friends split up due to some really, really petty drama. It's been about 2 years since we've all been together. And I miss what we had.
This song is basically saying 'Let it all go.' And I wish we could. |

To me, this song is real simple: everyone wants to be happy and some times you have to take chances to acheive that happiness. Sometimes you'll win with a chance, sometimes you'll lose. But you can't go through life without taking a chance on life/love/happiness. Brilliant song that was also brialliantly performed. |

^I actually disagree with you. I think this song is great! Yeah, it's a little cheesy but what do you expect from an Idol single? I actually think it's one of the best Idol singles I've ever heard...and trust me, I've heard a lot!
