i love this song it reminds me of a more indie version of "runaway love". i think, is it based on like childrens ambitions of what they want from life. and when things dont work that way and they cry together? it's sad in away to know of failure like this. cos its so true. but it's a beautiful hope and i suppose just dont give up ;) reach for the stars. |

well tbh, i wouldnt say "mardy bum" is just used in nottingham/sheffield/ etc... i live in manchester, and ive always used it though i do have lots of family in sheffield and im up there alot. anyways amazing song nostalgia? its me and my beau deffinately. i mean who doesn't turn around and just say "oh you dont care anyway" and "that silent disappointment face" wow, thats proper true :) i love arctic monkeys. |

metaphorically, shes talking of a relationship that was basically failing, on its last legs. she doesn't realise this as much, until someone who offers more and better things come along, this being little red. he makes her notice what she has and what she could have. she doesnt know to go or not, because this relationship has become sort of a routine, and she's tried to make things work, but "still you refrain" she decides to go with 'little red' and everything works out miles better. i presume her garden is now overflowing with flowers (L) |

i really love this song, its really old now, but still... its like, he's realising what he's loosing and he wants to take it back to how it was, but then he tries to make excuses for himself like all guys do... "i was just fucking them girls i was gonna get right back" "how was i to know you was just plain sick of me" then he says how its not right if she does it back to him... "you dont just pick up and leave and leave me sick like that" typical male, but least he's big enough to realise his mistakes etc... lovely. |

THIS IS REALLY MY FAVOURITE :D it's basically about a couple who are really opposite in what they like and what they do but they are so perfect for eachother their eachothers "same". opposites attract and if you seen them together they wouldnt match it up, but they do. i love this one so much, its so much like me and my boyfriend. people think we are really not a good match. but seriously, were perfect together :) ADELE |

i think this has slight sarcasm about it. she wishes she could be right as rain, and have love, and someone in her bed. But because she cant or doesn't have any of that, she's making out as if thats the way she wants it anyway. i like the beat in this one :) |
