Actually, both CDs Anorexia and Nervosa tell a story. It actually comes with a booklet that tells the story of two sisters named Anorexia and Nervosa. Anorexia and Nervosa decide to go on a journey and the booklet tells the story of their journeys, and the music goes along with it. So really, to get the full effect, you will have to get the whole CD or at least listen to all the songs, because they too tell the story kind of. |

This whole band is completely original and unique. There is no band like Showbread. I love how their songs hold a deep meaning that go way past the words (especially Anorexia and Nervosa), but they also appeal to everyone, not just us Christians. I really hope to meet them sometime! Haha, I also love Showbread's saying "And may raw rock kill you forever and ever, amen." |

Yes but whether you are a christian or not, the songs can still carry alot of meaning. If you liked this one, check out the song Sixteen by Demon Hunter. It's really good along with the song Thorns. |

My all time favorite song by them! crashnbrn321 is right, I also found the same thing. Alot of times, at jesusfreakhideout.com you can find the meaning behind christian songs (no matter what genre) and that is where I found it.
I used to deal with depression and yeah, I was emo, but I realized the same thing that this song is saying. Jesus had already bled and died for me, so that I wouldn't have to and that I could live a life to the fullest because of Him. So yeah, these lyrics really hit home with me. |

I highly doubt that "her" or "she" is referred to a woman, as in a girlfriend or wife. It's referring to sin. I mean, it makes perfect sense if you think about it being about sin, but it's alot more confusing if you think about it being about a woman. Also, the bible DOES refer to sin as "her" or "she". Anyway, songs can be translated into whatever you want, really. Everyone has different opinions, and this is just mine... |

Hey, i just watched the music video again.
Did anyone notice the 2 teenagers sitting in the kitchen? I think that about what i said earyler was still right, but the teenagers are the 2 kids again. Does that make sence?
So it shows them as little kids, then as teenagers, and then adults. But it barely shows the teenagers, but look in the kitchen at the end. Anyway, i might be wrong, but that's just what i got out of it. Does anyone agree with me about this? |

Hey peeps, this song ain't about a girl. I'm not being mean, but i am getting tired of anyone thinking that every single song is about a girl or a guy. The good songs are not about a girl or guy, that's what makes them good songs.
Im not saying that all songs are bad that talks about a girl or guy, but it just gets annoying when everyone thinks that that is what it is about or what it should be about.
But whatever, eveyone has their own point of view, i was just sharing mine.
Yus, matt is awesome! |

About the music video, i totally agree with bsmithjmu, i couldn't figure it out, and i knew that the boy was the one who killed him, but i also knew that the crazy guy had something to do with it. It makes perfect sence. The crazy dude and the little boy were the same peeps, and the little girl and the woman who was crying are the same. But there were more people in the kitchen, i dont know what they have to do with anything, or the woman with the phone. She may have been the mother, but there is no telling. But i am sure that the boy and the older man are the same people. As fo the song it's self, i really dont think it is about a relationship with a girlfriend. That would be too obvious and it wouldn't go that deep. I think it may be about abuse, or about God, or personal experience, but i highly doubt it is about a relationship, if it is, that is just dissapointing. |
