"Go embrace my heart" should be "Though it breaks my heart". Definitely a song about always being there to save someone who can't seem to resist getting themselves into trouble... I've been there with friends, watching some of them head down a path, trying to save them from it, but they seem to push me away and suffer anyway. |

| Metallica – The End Of The Line Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| My guess is that it's about the ultimatum Jame's wife gave him about his drinking problem, and how his frustration with the band and everything all came together at once... he reached the end of the line in his addictions and something had to be done. | |

Lars himself has admitted many times that he doesn't feel as if he's a very accomplished drummer. He said that his only saving grace is that he can play drums to Hetfield's guitar like no one else - and that's why he's the drummer for Metallica. People seem to HATE Lars... but the more interviews I read, the more videos i watch, and the more I hear about him.. the more I like him. He's a very interesting and misunderstood person, I think. There's a lot more going on in his head than people think. You'd like to put a label on him, but I think he's probably the most honest and real person of his stature that I've ever heard of. I mean... he was even making fun of his choice for the snare drum in St. Anger. |

| Audioslave – The Last Remaining Light Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think this song is about depression/suicide, how it truly takes hold of a person. "Curl like smoke, and breath it in, down your throat, inside your ribs" is what gives me that idea. I think with the lyrics "If you don't believe the sun will rise, stand alone and greet the coming night, in the last remaining light" are like a 3rd person perspective of a suicidal person. They don't think things are ever going to get better (don't believe the sun will rise) so their last resort is to commit suicide (stand alone, greet the coming night, or death if you will) with your last ounce of will power (last remaining light, or last moments of your life). |
