| I think the positive and negative stuff has to do with negative thoughts. Like hes in this good relationship but he overthinks it and ruins it with negative "could-be"s and it ends up being a negative relationship. And shes alot more mature than him and has a steady idea of the relationship but hes "far behind" and ruins it with his overthinking. | |

To me, this is about how your home town always seems so small and stale, even when you just come home for a visit, you're met with all the feelings that you just wanna run back out "I think you better turn your ticket in and get your money back at the door" I think the "walking on water" references self-righteous people. "Hey mister, you don't want to walk on water you're only going to walk all over me" Like they try so hard to be God, they walk all over every one around them who are just trying to do the right thing. |
